Many people are quite simply baffled by much of the latest technology and often feel quite overwhelmed by it. Unless you are in the industry or follow it avidly in your spare time then it can seem like a total mystery with its own terminology and its fast changing pace.
The trick is to try to understand what technology is relevant to your life and only learn on a need to know basis. That way you will only have to master those parts which will actively benefit your life or to make it easier.
What do I mean by this? Simply, only aim to understand those nuggets of technology which will enhance your daily life and this can be anything from 0845 numbers to email to the iPad.
It can be a single household appliance built to the latest specifications which will make your life a doddle such as a washing machine that calculates the washing time using sensors or it can be something that gives you pleasure such as the latest coffee machine.
When faced with a new piece of technology only learn what you need to know to use it to the maximum as many appliances now come with features that sound great but that you will never actually use in your daily life, so only master what you have to.
